Alan Hawse joined Enovix as vice president of information technology in 2021 and was subsequently elevated to senior vice president of IT and chief of staff. In his IT role, he is responsible for the company’s IT systems and processes to support the company’s growth into a global manufacturer of batteries. In his chief of staff role, Alan is responsible for strategic planning processes across the organization in collaboration with the executive staff.
Alan is a seasoned IT and software executive, having managed large global organizations in the semiconductor industry.
Prior to joining Enovix, Alan was a senior vice president at Infineon Technologies, which he joined following its $10 billion acquisition of Cypress Semiconductor in 2020.
Alan started his career at Cypress in 1991 and went on to serve multiple roles for the company, including managing design tools, software tools, corporate IT systems, new product information systems and customer experience. His titles included senior vice president of software and information technology, senior vice president of software and applications – MCU and wireless and executive vice president of software, among others.
Alan is passionate about technology and education. At Cypress, he taught microcontroller development to customers, employees and makers of all ages using the company’s software tools.
He earned a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Kentucky and an M.S. in electrical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
