Edward (Ed) James Casey
Edward (Ed) James Casey is a manufacturing leader with more than 30 years of experience building and scaling high-performance operations across global production networks.
He joins Enovix as Vice President of Operations, where he leads the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) organization. AME designs, builds, and supports the proprietary equipment behind Enovix’s battery production.
Prior to Enovix, Ed was Vice President of Operations at ams OSRAM, where he led automation and efficiency initiatives—scaling output from thousands to millions of units per week across three new product introductions annually, and reaching peak production of up to one billion units per year. Ed also held leadership roles at Western Digital, Seagate, and Komag, where he built resilient systems and scaled production to meet aggressive growth targets. At Western Digital, he oversaw all aspects of operations for the world’s largest hard disk drive substrate production site in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, producing over 500K units per day. He also implemented Lean, Factory Data Systems, and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement across the operation.
As Enovix scales its manufacturing operations, Ed is focused on positioning AME as a strategic engine for growth. His priorities include accelerating execution, strengthening accountability, and advancing the proprietary equipment capabilities that set Enovix’s technology apart.
