Jonathan Doan
Jonathan Doan joined Enovix in 2014 and has held a variety of positions since his initial appointment. In April 2023, he was promoted to vice president of research and development. He is responsible for managing the technology development roadmap for Enovix, building a world class team for battery research and development, and interfacing with customers to tailor custom battery designs that meet their requirements.
Jon has more than 21 years of experience in industrial research and development with a proven track record of taking new products and ideas from conception to production and has a broad technical background. Prior to his current position, Jon served as senior director of data engineering and architecture at Enovix.
Before joining Enovix, Jon worked for Reel Solar, Inc. as a principal member of the technical staff and for Solyndra, Inc. as director of device integration. He also served as a technical manager in the Texas Instruments DLP TV Group. Jon began his career as an acting assistant professor at Stanford University’s Department of Materials Science and Engineering.
Jon holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford University. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has received 27 U.S. patents.
